Silicon Carbide (SiC) is a ceramic-based product available in two forms; Nitrate bonded Silicon Carbide and Reaction bonded Silicon carbide. These products have increased wear resistance properties as opposed to 92% alumina content ceramics and are specifically for areas experiencing extremely high abrasion. Reaction bonded Silicon carbide, being the superior of the two.
